I don’t have a photograph of this mural yet, and I need help to get it. Is one of my readers willing to photograph inside the church for me? It will take some research to figure out which mural is Buongiorno’s, but I can help you.
From photos found online, it’s evident that both the upper and lower sanctuaries of the church are filled with beautiful paintings. I don’t know which are by Donatus Buongiorno, but I could describe to someone what the “Apotheosis of the Evangelist” would look like based on typical iconography for the subject.
